Why Is My Nsfas Account Closed 2024-2025

Why Is My Nsfas Account Closed 2024-2025: Are you attempting to log into your NSFAS account but are unable to do so? Are you curious about why your NSAFS account has been closed? Well then, your questions are addressed in this post. In this article, we explain why your NSFAS account has been closed and assist you in unblocking it. Follow the steps below and you will have a new password/Username.

Why Is My Nsfas Account Closed 2024-2025

Your NSFAS Account is locked because the NSFAS system detected that a wrong login detail; username, or password was entered into your account three (3) times. When the NSFAS system signals that a wrong username or password has been entered into your account with the aim to log in and access the information in it, the system will automatically lock your account. NSFAS will lock your account when it sees that the login details trying to access the account are different from the ones stored in the system.

How To Unblocked Your NSFAS Account

If you want to reset your myNSFAS portal password, here is what you should do.

Go to www.nsfas.org.za

  • Click myNSFAS account
  • Click ‘forgot password
  • Type in your ID number
  • Choose one of the following options:
    • I can’t remember my username
    • I can’t remember my password
    • I can’t remember my username and password
  • Choose the relevant option
  • Click ‘submit’
  • A One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to you via SMS and email to the cellphone number and email you provided
  • Check your cellphone or email for the OTP. This OTP is only valid for 24 hours
  • Type the OTP number in the provided block
  • Click ‘submit’
  • A link to reset your login details will be sent to you via email and SMS
  • Click on the link that was received through SMS or email
  • Follow the reset process
  • Create a new password by following the instruction on the screen
  • Click ‘submit’

How Long Does NSFAS Take To Reset Username And Password?

Approximately, it will take 5 minutes to reset your MyNSFAS portal password. In fact, the process involved in resetting your MyNSFAS password is simple and faster as long as you have your ID number and cell phone number on you for the process.

How Do I Prevent My NSFAS Account From Lock?

You will have to keep your NSFAS login details so that you enter the correct login credentials. When you enter the wrong NSFAS login details three consecutive times, your account will be blocked. Therefore, it is advisable to always enter the correct details to prevent your account from getting locked.
