Nsfas Updates 2024-2025: The National Student Financial Aid Scheme is a program run by the South African government that offers financial aid to undergraduate students to help cover the cost of their higher education after they graduate from high school. The Department of Higher Education and Training is responsible for funding it. The scheme was established in terms of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme Act 56 of 1999. • Proof of income from your parents, guardians, or spouse
•  SASSA grant beneficiaries are not required to show proof of income.

• Students that have completed a previous qualification.
• Students with a combined household income of more than R350 000 per annum.
• Students who have already applied, qualified, and received funding. They are automatically funded for the duration of their studies provided they pass their modules and meet the academic requirements.
• Foreign students (any student who is not a South African citizen).
