My Nsfas My Account 2024-2025

My Nsfas My Account 2024-2025: The National Student Financial Aid Scheme online application for the 2024-2025 academic year will open on 1 September and close on 30 November 2024. Therefore, all applicants who want to be funded by NSFAS bursary should apply by creating an NSFAS account and login into Mynsfas. Keep in mind that, your phone number and email address must be unique to you and cannot be shared. If you wish to create an NSFAS account, follow the steps below.

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS NEEDED WHEN CREATING MY NSFAS ACCOUNT

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will require more information from you to process your application, so you need to provide the following supporting documents to ensure your application is successful.

  1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
  2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
  3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
  4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
  5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
  7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  8. An applicant known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

 

How To Create Mynsfas Account

Applicants can use the above web portal to follow the steps outlined below.

  • To begin, go to the NSFAS website (the link is external).
  • Please select the myNSFAS option in the upper right corner.
  • Register by clicking the register button.
  • To allow NSFAS to verify and validate the information you’ve supplied, select the acceptable option.
  • Please enter your ID number exactly as it appears on your ID card.
  • Please type your given name and surname exactly as they appear on your identification document.
  • Enter your email address as well as your cellphone number. Your email address will be your username.
  • Please create a password and double-check it.
  • Upload a copy of your identification.
  • Register by clicking the register button.
  • A One Time Pin (OTP) will be issued to the email address and cellphone number you supplied when you click to register.
  • For the OTP, check your phone and email.
  • In the given tab, type the OTP and click submit.
  • You will then receive a second SMS and email confirming the creation of your myNSFAS account. You are now free to continue working on your application.

 

How do I update my account details with NSFAS?

How to make changes to your National Student Financial Aid Scheme account:

  • Please visit nsfas.org.za and log in.
  • Please enter your username and password (under the ‘already registered’ option) to continue.
  • Click the ‘sign in’ button.
  • Please go to ‘My Personal Details’ and change the inaccurate cell phone number with the right one (the same can be done with other incorrect information)

 

How to Reset the Password

  1. Clicking on the “forgot your password” tab and enter your ID number
  2. Choose whether you have forgotten your username and password and click “Submit
  3. You will receive an OTP via email and SMS
  4. Type in the OTP you received and click “Submit
  5. You will then be required to create a new password.

How To Register For a Nsfas Wallet

Follow these steps to register for your wallet,

  1. On your phone, dial *120*176# and follow the prompt to verify & authenticate your account.
  2. Your account password will be sent to you via SMS.
  3. Once your account has been verified, you can access it simply by dialling the same *120*176#.
  4. You can also access your account via celbux.appspot.com (more info below).

 

How To Check Your NSFAS Wallet Balance

On your cellphone:

  1. Dial short code *134*176#
  2. Enter your password
  3. Click Send
  4. Select option 2. Query
  5. View cash balance and transactions

On the internet:

  1. Enter the following link into your browser https://celbux.appspot.com
  • Log into your account by typing in your cellphone number and password and clicking the Login button
  • Click More
  • Click Transactions
  • View transactions

 

How to withdraw cash using nsfas wallet

On your cellphone

  1. Dial the shortcode *120*176#
  2. Enter your password.
  3. Click Send.
  4. Select option 1. Cash Voucher and click Send.
  5. Enter the amount and click Send.
  6. Your newly created voucher will be displayed.

Via Internet

  1. Navigate to celbux.appspot.com.
  2. Log into your account by typing in your cellphone number and password and clicking the Login button.
  3. Click Pay.
  4. Enter amount.
  5. Click Done.

 

How To Unlock Your Wallet

Sometimes due to entering incorrect passwords multiple times, in a short period of time, your wallet can be blocked. So if your NSFAS wallet is blocked, follow these easy steps to unblock it and have instant access to your cash allowance.

  • Log into your myNSFAS account and Create a case
  • Submit a certified copy of your ID
  • Provide your active cellphone number
  • Indicate that your NSFAS Wallet is blocked

The NSFAS will process your case and send you notifications once your account is unlocked. Alternatively, contact NSFAS on their social media pages with your case and they’ll attend to it.
