    Grant-in-Aid

    Applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • The applicant must routinely require assistance from another person to carry out daily tasks due to a physical or mental impairment. A War Veterans Grant, a Grant for

    How to apply for SRD grant applications

    There are three methods for applicants to employ in the Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) online application procedure, including:

    APPLICATION VIA WHATSAPP

    • Following the entry of their ID and phone number, the applicant hits the send SMS button.
    • A 6-digit OTP will be given to the applicant.
    • The applicant must enter the OTP number and select a pin in order to validate.

    To apply through the SASSA Chatbot, follow the procedures outlined below.

    • In your browser, open a new tab.
      The website www.sassa.gov.za is accessible to users online.
    • The website’s chat box will be selected by the applicant to access support for the SRD R350 Grant.
    • The ID number and phone number of the applicant are both provided.
    • The candidate will choose the conversation option “I want to apply for the SRD R350 prize.”
    • The chatbot will offer a hyperlink to the SRD website.
    • The candidate will follow the regulations provided on the SRD website.
