How To Apply For Nsfas At Tvet College 2024-2025

How To Apply For Nsfas At Tvet College 2024-2025: If you’re a TVET College student or you’re about to be and you’re looking for a way to pay for your studies, you might need some help. NSFAS is here to help all students including all the 50 Tvet colleges and 25 public universities in South Africa to pay for the cost of their tertiary education after completing high school. NSFAS application cycle will last four months, from 3 August through 30 November 2024. There will be no acceptance of late applications. In order for your application to be processed, please ensure that you meet the application requirements and apply on time. Kindly follow the steps below.

 

Who qualifies for NSFAS Tvet?

  • All South African citizens
  • All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
  • Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
  • A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
  • Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.

 

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
  2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
  3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
  4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
  5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
  6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
  7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
  8. An applicant who is known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

 

How to Apply for NSFAS Application Tvet

  1. Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
  3. Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
  4. Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
  5. Update your personal information
  6. Answer the questions you see on the screen
  7. Upload all the required supporting documents
  8. Finally, you click on ‘submit

 

How to Check NSFAS Application Status

In order to check NSFAS Application Status, you must follow the simple steps below:

  1. Visit the NSFAS Status website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, log in to your myNSFAS account, if you don’t have one, create one. Click HERE
  3. Enter your User ID
  4. Type in the password you created during the application process.
  5. Click “Track Funding Progress” to check your NSFAS Application Status.
