SRD grant application deadlines

Applications for Sassa R350 grants are accepted every month. Every three months at the very least, all SRD R350 grant candidates must authenticate their award requests.

Conditions for SRD R350 Grant Submissions

How to apply SRD grant applications

The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) online application process offers applicants a choice of three approaches.

APPLICATION THROUGH WHATSAPP

Follow the instructions listed below to apply for the SRD award via WhatsApp.
If you’re interested in applying, send a WhatsApp message to 082 046 8553.
The applicant must submit any personal data that is prompted by the conversation.
The applicant will be given a reference number, an OTP number, and a website link. The candidate must click the link, type their OTP, and then choose “verify.”
The applicant is required to provide their ID number and last name.
After the applicant has verified the information in the chat, please move on to Step 2 and acknowledge the terms and conditions.

APPLICATION THROUGH SRD WEBSITE

The steps outlined below show you how to submit an application via the SRD website.

Open a new tab in your browser. Google Chrome, Opera Mini, Mozilla, etc.
Enter https://srd.sassa.gov.za
The applicant clicks the send SMS option after entering their ID and mobile number.
The applicant will receive a 6-digit OTP.
The applicant must choose the pin and input the OTP number to validate.
Please go to Step 2 and acknowledge the terms and conditions.

APPLICATION THROUGH SASSA CHATBOT

The steps outlined below show you how to submit an application via the SRD Chatbot

Open a new tab in your browser. Google Chrome, Opera Mini, Mozilla, etc.
Enter https://srd.sassa.gov.za
The applicant clicks the send SMS option after entering their ID and mobile number.
The applicant will receive a 6-digit OTP.
To validate, the applicant must enter the OTP number and choose a pin.
