The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) is crucial because it gives many people access to money during trying times to cover their fundamental requirements. This grant is administered by the South African Social Security Agency.

SRD grant application deadlines

Sassa R350 grant applications are accepted on a monthly basis. All SRD R350 grant candidates must confirm their award requests at least every three months.

Conditions for SRD R350 Grant Submissions

Each application has requirements or criteria that candidates might use while applying. The following supporting documents are required from the applicants.

How to submit an application for SRD grants

The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) online application process offers applicants a choice of three approaches. They are as follows:

WHATSAPP APPLICATION

Follow the instructions below to submit an application for the SRD award via WhatsApp.
To apply, send a WhatsApp message to 082 046 8553.
The applicant must submit any personal data that the chat window requests.
The application will come with a reference number, an OTP number, and a link to a website. To proceed, the applicant must click the link, type their OTP, and then choose “verify.”
Both the applicant’s last name and ID number are required.
Please move on to Step 2 and acknowledge the terms and conditions if the applicant has verified the information as it appears in the conversation.

2. WEBSITE APPLICATION FOR SRD

Open a new tab in your browser. Google Chrome, Opera Mini, Mozilla, etc.
Enter https://srd.sassa.gov.za
The applicant clicks the send SMS option after entering their ID and mobile number.
The applicant will receive a 6-digit OTP.
The applicant must choose the pin and input the OTP number to validate.
Please go to Step 2 now: I AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

3. SASSA CHATBOT APPLICATION

Open a new tab in your browser. Google Chrome, Opera Mini, Mozilla, etc.
Enter https://srd.sassa.gov.za to find it.
The applicant clicks the send SMS option after entering their ID and mobile number.
The applicant will receive a 6-digit OTP.
To validate, the applicant must input the OTP number and choose a pin.
