r350 grant application online 2024
The South African government offers social aid to those that need it. The SASSA is responsible for regulating social giveaways in South Africa. Those who need government support to raise their standard of life and who risk sliding into poverty may be eligible for social grants. Parents with small children, the elderly, and those with disabilities are commonly included. A social grant must be requested by a South African citizen, an authorized permanent resident, or a refugee. Additionally, they must be South African nationals.
What is a Means Test?
Some social benefits, such as those for child support, disabilities, caregiving, and the reduction of social suffering, are subject to a “means test.” SASSA will conduct a means test to determine your eligibility for a social grant based on your income and assets. Your eligibility for a grant intended for persons who cannot afford to live independently will be determined by the results of a means test.
Care dependency compensation
Grants for care dependency may be available to parents of handicapped children who are employed full-time.
What total amount of funding will be distributed as part of this grant?
R1 860 per child, per month.
How do you know if you’re eligible for the grant?
The kid must be under the age of 18 and chronically incapacitated, as established by a medical officer, in order to qualify for the care dependence award. If you’re married, both you and your spouse need to be at least as eligible as the means test allows. You can use the articles listed below to help you with your Sassa application.
