NSFAS requires applicants to create myNSFAS account before they can apply and track their application status. You can sign in with your username, password, and Facebook or Google accounts if you already have an account. Remember that you must have a personal phone number and email address that is not shared. NSFAS applicants who are wondering how to create NSFAS account can follow the instructions below to create their accounts as soon as possible. Remember to submit the Nsfas required documents when creating the account.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS NEEDED WHEN CREATING MY NSFAS ACCOUNT

1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
8. An applicant who is known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

How To Create Mynsfas Account

Register online as a user on myNSFAS or re-register a myNSFAS account

• Go to www.nsfas.org.za
• Click on “myNSFAS” tab
• Click on “Register“
• Tick the box to allow NSFAS to verify your details
• Then enter your ID number on the field as it is stated on your South African Identity Document (ID)
• Type in your full names and surname as per your ID number
• Type in your current email address
• Confirm your email address
• Type in your cellphone number
• Create a password
• Confirm password
• Upload your ID Copy
• Click on register
• An OTP will be sent to the email and cell number provided (this OTP expires after 24 hours)
• Type in the OTP and click submit
• You have now completed your re-registration
