The goal of SASSA is to make the process of submitting an R350 grant application as easy and uncomplicated as feasible. Because of this, one way to submit an SRD grant application is via GovChat; keep reading to find out how.

Early in August, SASSA opened the second round of R350 grant applications, which will remain open until March 2024.

One way to submit an SRD grant application is through GovChat. Here is how to accomplish it:

1. Go to the GovChat website

2. Enter your phone number

3. Complete the Captcha

4. Click ‘LOGIN’

5. Click on ‘SASSA Services’

6. Click on ‘SASSA Grants’

7. Click on ‘Apply for a grant,

8. Click on ‘Social relief of distress (R350)’

9. Click on ‘Create New Form’

10. Fill in the required information

11. Click on ‘SUBMIT PERSONAL DETAILS’

12. After that, you will be given a reference number.

All applicants will be asked to sign a statement and consent form since SASSA will collaborate with other institutions to verify the information offered by applicants.

You will get payment when your application has been accepted. Whether your R350 grant application was accepted by SASSA, you won’t need to reapply each month since SASSA will check to determine if you still qualify on a monthly basis.
