The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) project was launched in 2013. It also provides income support together with old-age, disability, and child aid.

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) offers money and various forms of assistance to anyone who is able to work lawfully in South Africa but is unable to do so because they are unable to find a job that will allow them to make enough money to:

• Age

• Disability

• Unemployment

• Sickness etc

The Social Relief of Distress Grant: Concerns (SRD)

An important part in providing financial assistance to many persons in need during difficult times is played by the Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD). This funding is managed by the Social Security Agency of South Africa (SASSA).
SRD grant application deadlines

Applications for the Sassa R350 prize are accepted each month for those who are interested. A minimum of once every three months, all SRD R350 award applicants must reconfirm their grant applications.
SRD R350 grant application requirements

For each application, there are prerequisites or standards that applicants must meet. The elements on the following list are requirements for applicants.

South African citizens/permanent residents/refugees/asylum seekers/holders of special permits are required.

• Must be Unemployed

• Must not have any other source of income or financial support.

• You must be between the ages of 18 and 60 to apply.
