Are you worried about how long it takes Nsfas to react to your request? Within a few days of the deadline from September 1 to November 30, 2024, applicants should expect a response to their application. This depends on the timing and format of your application. If you haven’t heard from NSFAS yet, you should verify the progress of your application on your own by following these simple steps.

How To View/Check Nsfas Online Application Status

To check your NSFAS application status:

  1. Log into your myNSFAS account portal.
  2. Enter your ID or username and password.
  3. Click the SIGN IN! button.
  4. Once you log into your account dashboard, click on Track Funding Progress to check your application status.
  5. If your application has been successful, Congrats! If not, better luck next time.

Nsfas Online Application Qualification 

who qualify’s:

  1. Everyone who is a citizen of South Africa is entitled to take part in the nsfas program.
  2. The NSFA provides financial rewards to each SASSA champion.
    sportsmen with disabilities whose yearly home income is less R350 000
  3. A household’s maximum annual gross income is R600,000. Candidates who began their studies prior to 2018 and have a household income of less than R122,000 per year are eligible.

Who does not qualify’s:

  • new graduates from families making over R350 000 each year.
  • The nsfas accepted and assisted applicants who had already submitted their applications.
  • Students who successfully finish their courses and attain the required academic criteria are automatically sponsored for the program’s remaining courses.

How to Apply Application: A Step-by-Step Guide

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) provides financial assistance to eligible South African students who wish to pursue higher education at public universities and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you apply for NSFAS funding.

Step 1: Check Your Eligibility

  • You are a South African citizen.
  • You plan to study at a public university or TVET college.
  • You come from a family with a combined annual household income of not more than R350,000 per year.
