Nsfas Closing Date 2024-2025

Nsfas Closing Date 2024-2025: The NSFAS application is open to all South African students who find it difficult in paying the cost of tertiary education. To prevent having their applications rejected by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) officials, applicants are recommended to submit their applications throughout the application period and as soon as possible. The Nsfas online application opening date for the 2024 study season begins on the 7th of November 2023 and closes on the 21st of January 2024. Kindly follow the simple steps below to apply for NSFAS online.

 

Who qualifies for NSFAS funding?

  • All South African citizens
  • All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
  • Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
  • A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
  • Students who started studying before 2018 whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.

 

How to Apply for NSFAS Online Application when opened

  1. Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
  3. Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
  4. Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
  5. Update your personal information
  6. Answer the questions you see on the screen
  7. Upload all the required supporting documents
  8. Finally, you click on ‘submit

 

How to Check NSFAS Application Status

In order to check NSFAS Application Status, you must follow the simple steps below:

  1. Visit NSFAS Status website: www.nsfas.org.za
  2. Then, log in to myNSFAS account, if you don’t have one, create one. Click HERE
  3. Enter your User ID
  4. Type in the password you created during the application process.
  5. Click “Track Funding Progress” to check your NSFAS Application Status.
