Nsfas Opening Date 2024-2025

Nsfas Opening Date 2024-2025: The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has recently announced the application date for eligible students who are interested to further their education but can not afford to do so both in TVET colleges and universities across South Africa. Nsfas Application will Open on August 18 and close on September 03, 2024. When applying, students will be required to provide the following supporting documents when submitting their applications. Kindly go through and follow the steps to apply on time.

REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS TO COMPLETE NSFAS ONLINE APPLICATION

1. Provide your own cellphone number and email address
2. You must have a copy of your ID or birth certificate
3. National ID copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
4. The evidence of your income or 1 year’s IRP5 if necessary
5. The proof of income of your parents, guardian, or spouse.
6. If you are a SASSA grant recipient, you don’t need to provide any evidence of income.
7. All Applicants with a disability should provide and submit a completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form
8. An applicant who is known as a Vulnerable Child by the Department of Social Development should also provide a completed and signed Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form.

How to Apply for NSFAS Online Application when opened

1. Visit the NSFAS Application website: www.nsfas.org.za
2. Then, you click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
3. Create a myNSFAS account. If you don’t know how to create, click HERE
4. Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab
5. Update your personal information
6. Answer the questions you see on the screen
7. Upload all the required supporting documents
8. Finally, you click on ‘submit

How to Check NSFAS Application Status

In order to check NSFAS Application Status, you must follow the simple steps below:

1. Visit the NSFAS Status website: www.nsfas.org.za
   
2. Then, log in to your MyNSFAS account, if you don’t have one, create one. Click HERE
3. Enter your User ID
4. Type in the password you created during the application process.
5. Click “Track Funding Progress” to check your NSFAS Application Status.
