Before you can fill out your NSFAS application form online, you’ll need the documents below.

1. A cell phone number
2. An email address
3. Certified copies of your Identification Documents (ID)
4. You should have applied for a public institution and waiting for admission acceptance
5. Certified or official copy of recent payslip, employment letter, not older than three months
6. Prove household income (this includes SASSA grants, Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), or retirement, disability, or other financial benefits you get.)
7. Copy of parents/guardian/spouse/ Identification documents (if applicable)
8. If you’re disability, you’ll complete a disability Annexure A and B and submit them

Where to submit nsfas application form

Hand in your completed application form and supporting documents to the Financial Aid Office (FAO) at your university or TVET college.
Scan or email your completed application form and supporting documents to NSFAS at apply@nsfas.org.za.
Fax your completed application and supporting documents to NSFAS at 086 644 2822.
Post your completed application form and supporting documents to NSFAS, Private Bag X4, Plumstead, Western Cape, 7801.

Please Note: You must write your identity (ID) number in the top right-hand corner of every page of the application form and on every page of all of your supporting documents. NSFAS will not be able to process applications without an identity number.
